From birth through adolescence, we follow the American Academy of Pediatrics recommended schedule for well child visits (newborn, 2 weeks, 1, 2, 4, 6, 9, 12, 15, & 18 months old) and annual physicals thereafter. This includes a complete physical exam, assessment of growth and development, and vaccinations.  We discuss topics such as good nutrition, fitness, healthy sleep habits, school progress, child safety and issues unique to each age group.  We also provide age appropriate vision and hearing screening and lab work.

At Small World Pediatrics, we provide your child a comprehensive physical exam for clearance to participate in sports, school and other activities. These exams are important not only to your child’s well being today, but for their future health and wellness. We take the time to discuss issues that will affect your child’s health now, and as they get older.

After the birth of your baby, we will begin caring for him or her in the hospital to help ensure your baby has a healthy start in life.  Your baby’s new doctor will be there each day during your hospital stay to examine and monitor your newborn’s health, then help arrange a follow-up visit in our office a few short days following your hospital stay. As the parent of a newborn, we know you will have many questions.  We are here to answer these questions.  We welcome the opportunity to assist you with this very exciting and challenging time in your life.

Having a sick child can turn your whole day around. At Small World Pediatrics, we understand how you, as a parent, worry when your child is sick. We make every effort to make same-day appointments for sick children. We want to examine your child when you realize they are sick. Caring for your child as soon as possible will help him or her start feeling better and get on the road to recovery sooner.

As an expectant parent, you want the best for your child even before he or she is born.  We encourage you to come see our office and get to know us before your baby is born. You are going to be spending a lot of time with your pediatrician, so we encourage the formation of this special relationship as early as you would like.  Call us today to setup a time to come visit.
